Re: Weekly Sightings
Finally, someone did this conversion and got it right! 88-98 stepside bed on a '67-72...and they fabbed in the original wheel arch to maintain the look. I would have ditched the side marker lights, but that's me. This one was for sale at Petit Jean on Saturday, near Morrillton, AR. Don't know who owned it or what they were asking because I didn't look. Besides, that's not what this post is about.

Re: Weekly Sightings
I knew this was sitting out back at a local Chevy dealership. It's a 70, with a 396, front and rear seats in it, showing a good bit of rust. It's been sitting there the last 15-20 years. I did find out it can be bought, but you're gonna have to want it real bad!

Re: Weekly Sightings
Yea I remember looking at it shortly after they took it in on trade, it was nice, just needed the paint freshened up, now I don't even know it would start. I think their opinion of it is higher than mine, never got a definate price, just what was asked for it a few years ago.

Re: Weekly Sightings
I saw this 67 in Muscatine, Iowa. It was a great looking truck. My wife made fun of me for taking this picture but I explained it was for the forum. She just rolled her eyes.

Re: Weekly Sightings
Sir talk alot, yes 1974 Javelin my parents bought new.Dad wont let anyone drive the car but him and mother. But he wont get it out to take to cruises or shows either.Mother has been on him for the last 10 or so years to either sell it or drive it,he'll get it out for a few miles and then it will go back on the carport. 1 set of tires has ROTTED off that I remember. The last time I talked to daddy ,he said 90,000 miles.
You ought to see 2 teenage kids, a 4 year old, and 2 adults in that thing.Gets cramped quick. The truck is from central Tenn. His friend has a 1960 F... F250 factory crew cab that is just as nice. if ya''ll dont mine I can post some picts of it also. Last edited by PAWS 72; 03-26-2012 at 12:32 AM. Reason: forgot to add |

Re: Weekly Sightings
This is a favorite of mine. Just saw it this afternoon when I was leaving the gas station. Funny thing was, he was trying to let me out of the station and I was too busy taking the picture. He finally left me sitting there. This truck is owned by NASCAR driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. He lives on the same road as me... but in a whole different world. I'd love to get a pic of my Burb with this truck. Timing is never right.
He also has a stock yellow 4wd Blazer- (edit-71-72) I believe. I will have to try to get a pic of it. The first couple times I saw him in it I was in the Burb. I waved, he waved. I had no idea who it was. Then I saw it on TV and said I KNOW THAT BLAZER!
