Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

Ha! No, John. It's not a Pennsy truck. I'm actually working in New Mexico, and "Earl" came from Utah. Trust me, I know what our weather and road salt do to these trucks. Which is why I thought I should shop for one while I'm in the southwest.

The price difference for a clean truck down here compared to up home is remarkable too... scarcity and demand drives price and all that.

Thanks for the welcome everyone.

That's a 69 two wheel drive big block. To rusty to spend any time or money on. Saving for parts.

Quick pic of my 70.
Switched out some of the tired original parts with items like a 700r4 trans, tilt column, 72 brakes, 70 Blazer front buckets, 2nd & 3rd row seats from a wrecked 72. Need to do a few more things before it'll be back on the road.

After some a little drop. One cut front spring, equaled about 3 inch front drop and 2 inch rear blocks.

How does yours look on level ground? The PO lowered mine (with short springs and shocks) so it's about level, and sometimes it looks like the ass end is loaded down with a load of bricks. (maybe that's just after I gas up?)

I'd like to raise the back an inch or so, I think it would look nicer.

It looks very even from back to front on level ground. That's the look I was going for and I'm lucky to have hit it with the first try. I'll post some level pictures this weekend.

Re: How about some pics of 67-72 Burbans!

A couple pics of my new toy.

I am the second owner. Only 90k miles on it. Been sitting in a farmers field for the past 33 years. He parked it because he was having carburetor problems. More likely rusted out fuel tank issues.

Came with the title issued in 1971 when they moved to the area and the license plate issued at the same time.

I really want to keep the moss on it and not touch the paint but I have to fix the rockers & floor pans and the lower quarters.

Sadly not the original paint. Original was cardinal red. Found a little body work in the drivers fender so they probably repainted after that incident.
