I hear Lou Santiago is back on TV

This guy is one of my favorite car guys, he is so down to earth and sincere about his work. I haven't seen the show yet, but my buddy told me about it. CAR FIX on Velocity, and Jared is back with him, these guys are up there on the top of my list. Looking forward to the new show. thought I would share

Re: I hear Lou Santiago is back on TV

There are no good car shows on tv. Now, if Bob Ross had a car show then that would have been a great show because he showed you how to do something exactly.

Actually, here is what i feel to be a good idea for a car show---have a show that instructs you how to draw nothing but cars.

There really aren't any good car shows on tv and really there's nothing good on tv.

I disagree. I really like Stacey David's Gearz. I used to watch him all of the time on Trucks TV on Spike. Lou Santiago was another favorite of mine when he was on Musclecars on Spike, and I'd like to see him back again. I will agree that the dialogue on the car shows on spike are getting to be annoying, but I think they are still good shows and I try to watch them every weekend.

Watched the pilot of that recently. It was actually a very good show, very enjoyable to watch. Hoping it makes it past pilot stages.

Re: I hear Lou Santiago is back on TV

I've seen both episodes of CarFix - so far so good, always liked Lou and Jared. Also caught the two episodes of "All girls Garage" with Jessie Coombs on the same channel - not bad at all. I'm a car show junky - I record all of them, Gearz, Muscle Car, Trucks, Horsepower, Wheeler Dealers, Vinsetta Garage, Renaissance Man, Car Warriors, Cafe Racer, Chasing Classic Cars, etc.

Gearz is OK, but Stacy loses me with the slamming stuff on the bench/floor, enough already.

Re: I hear Lou Santiago is back on TV

Stacy's stupid laugh after just about everything he says is too much, kinda like fingernails on a chalkboard. Too bad, he's a damned good host other than that.
Hey, Lou, good to see you're back, looking forward to the shows! Good to have somebody with some color in his personality rather than the droll crap on a lot of other shows.

I agree with the dialog on the spike shows and that would be one of the main reasons I like watching Lou. Lou I have your show schedule to record on friday, Don't disappoint me. Can't wait. Ian from Xtreme 4x4 needs some props as well, he is another great host. As for Stacey, I could without his laughs and throwing things on the floor, but the three of them seem to be the most passionate about their projects and not just a host. Keep up the good work

Re: I hear Lou Santiago is back on TV

Lou, first i want to say that i love you (in a platonic way). i really do. But we need more detail man, more detail!

If you look at a Bob Ross show, yes he made everything look easy, but he also explained what he was doing very clearly.

Also please review "This Old House" on PBS----they really explain stuff well enough so that a moron like myself can really understand what is going on.

i know you are not the producer (or are you?) but notice that in the above two shows there is no music playing while the host or guests are talking or performing a task. In my opinion this is very distracting and has got to go. A good show does not need music in the background constantly.

Also the smack sound everytime there is a camera cut to a different scene has got to go as well.

You are actually one of my favorite hosts; i also like Sam from 2 guys--he tends to go into detail---to a certain extent.

Thank you for your consideration on this matter.

Talking Re: I hear Lou Santiago is back on TV

J Knight, I have to tell you I don't have much say on the projects. You know how that goes it's all about the money. I hope that Jared and I will get more as time goes on.

C-10 simplex, I would love to give more details on the builds. The biggest problem is time a 22 minute show makes it hard on the detail end of it. Oh yeah it's great that you love me just don't think of me when your in the shower... it just gets weird.

Lou it's really cool to see you on here actually responding. Always heard you were that kinda guy. I sure hated it when you left muscle car, but I bet you wouldn't have done any work on a squarebody there. Keep up the good work.

Re: I hear Lou Santiago is back on TV

Glad to see Lou back on TV. Got Car Fix and All Girl Garage set to record. Nothing hotter than good looking women working on cars, trucks and bikes, except the new Kate Upton Hardees commercial.

Wheeler Dealers is a favorite because they don't throw high dollar parts on the car like the American shows. They show you how to get a good looking and safe ride with little money. It seems to me that American car shows are just info-commercials for their suppliers.
