Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
I have seen the front bumper put on a step side it looked pretty cool. I have always wanted to put on a roll pan with a license plate pocket and then install the bumper with the license plate dip cut out so that it would be a 2 peace bumper.

Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
My truck has a flip down electric actuator. It flips down when I turn on the key and flips up when I turn it off.

Won’t help you since it’s a stepside. I have a ‘64 front bumper flipped and cut.

Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
I know it is not our year but I saw this truck with a trimmed and tucked rear bumper. He also has the widened rear fenders.

Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
That is my favorite bumper for a street fleetside.
For a work truck I like the tough look of a Barden.

I will agree with that. I have a Barden on my short fleet trailer!

Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
Clyde did you have to modify your bumper brackets any? I installed my 67 bumper and the top is alot further away from the bed than the bottom. I even bought new bumper brackets.

Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
I didn’t modify anything, also got the 67-72 bumper brackets and it fit like a glove. I also did a hidden hitch (CPP) and a flip up license holder.

Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
Here is mine. It was one of those step bumpers that wrapped around to the side of the bed and bolted to it. I chopped it and tucked it. My truck is a 3 on tree and didnt have backup lights and I didn’t want the round ones under taillights so I made my own version. I also installed Toyota Tacoma license plate lights.

Re: 60-66 rear bumper ideas
I'm not so sure that bumper would work on a fleet side. Unless you pulled it away from the bed a ways. Then it'd look kind of funky. You'd probably need custom brackets to do that.

Yep, I was torn between posting it in your thread or this one.
