Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
Here are some pics of mine. Because the passenger vent handle is correct I think the glass is correct. The driver's vent should be from a later truck. It probably got broke into at one time or something else went wrong. The ashtray is correct and I KNOW the cig. lighter is incorrect. It has the correct door pulls but I dont know if the window cranks are correct, they do match. When I too ka pic of the GB door I realized that the correct texture is on it it just does't have the Argent Silver trim. I had an error mesage for the email of my gate and seat so I'm gonna try and resend them. The bench is the correct base spring seat and the gate is a later one. A complete dead giveaway is that it has the Disc brake sticker on it.

Snap pics of what you think is correct and what has been changed. Explain the differences. Thanks for taking the time. A well documented thread would be a great thing to have for future reference!

My passenger side roof is indented for a passenger visor. I just thought about it but its too dark to take a good pic of it.

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
Ok a couple more pics. My tail lights are repros. I dont know why they chose the waffle style if the Bullseye covered more of the years. Notice the Disc brake sticker and the low "Speed bump" on the gate. I wont be keeping the 3OTT colum but here is a picture of the extra hole.

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
the lower front part of the rear wheel arch is more square (like a suburban).
the 68 and up are rounded. The ones in my driveway are anyway. |

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
Dang! Just looked back! My cell phone takes some good pics! I just rebuilt the steering stuff in that old square in the background on saturday. I'll be posting info on that in my alignment thread soon enough.

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
Great pics guys I will take a few of my stuff in the next few days. I agree we should gather all the info and pics here and get it all straight then make an FAQ with a bunch of good pics. Did anyone mention becnh seats that fold forward yet? One of you guys without a passenger visor needs to get a good pic for this. I have a 67 ashtray and a 68? ashtray and the 67 ash tray slides metal on metal while the 68 up has a ball bearing slide with cigarette extinguisher in the slide plate thingy.

Hmm. I have 2 visors. My ash tray seems to be 67. And my bench folds fw. I'll get some pics tomorrow.

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
Good info in here. I just bought a 67 that I think is mostly original. I will have to study up and compare!
Oh, and whoever mentioned the parking lights going out when headlights are on is a lifesaver. One of the first things I was going to do was try to figure that "problem" out. I never would have thought! Adam |

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
The reason they use the waffle style is no one currently re-pops the bullseye style ones... I agree that they should have made those since it was 3yrs+ on that style...must have been easier/cheaper to do the waffle...

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
When repro parts started coming out it was all about '72s. Those were the first parts reproduced

I guess the other question is.. how do we keep our 67's original, if you can only get reproduction parts..

Re: 1967 Only or 60-66 Carry Over?
67 vs 68+ ash trays, differences.
The '67 ash tray is blue and the 68+ is black splatter First pic- you can see the 68+ ash tray has a ball bearing slider where the 67 is just a steel channel that slides. Second pic- side profile 68+ on top 67 on bottom, The whole ash tray is shaped differenty. You may notice the face plate is different as well. The 67 is flatter and shorter in height but is longer in length. Third and fourth pic- detail of the face. see the difference?! fifth pic-top view, 68 left, 67 right. notice how much longer (depth) the 67 ash tray is. Also the cigarette extinguisher on the back of the face is different.
