Ok,that makes sense with your speed limit.No so much a pulling thing,more so getting the cummins rpm down to a good fuel economy range....

If your gross vehicle weight is over 25,000lbs in a 1 ton or smaller truck,the last thing I would worry about is the ranger unit.If your hauling that much weight,better look at a lot bigger towing truck first!! Like something in a single axle highway truck.See it lots up here too,sure that diesel 3/4 ton- 1 ton will pull that big flatbed,but controlling it is another thing sometimes.....

only bad thing that i have heard of on the gv is the elc controls like to quit if you set it up with there stuff to auto maticly shift in
any truth to that?
