Question Anyone else prefer stock ride height?

Or do most like lowered? Am I in the wrong forum? I like the stock ride height. If I wanted low, I would drive a car...

I like the stock heights on the 4wd's. But most people on here think everyone should do their own thing with their own truck.

2WD, lower it. 4x4, lift it.

Re: Anyone else prefer stock ride height?

It's stock height for everything for me. That lowered stuff (car-truck or whatever) just never appealed to me. Don't care for the look. Along with it usually comes those hidious big wheels too,,,blek!! Starts getting over 16-17" and I have no use for it, prefer the 15's that are on most of my stuff.

Not to mention being cautious every where you drive for fear of scraping something. In mountain terrain where I live that's a reality. Odd angle parking lots and driveways, dips and severe pavement changes are all over the place around here. I just want to drive and enjoy without worrying whether I can or can't go here or there. Alot of the cars I have are already like that at stock ride height.

Stock height for me. Lowered trucks are not my thing, but I respect someone else's taste. Plus its nice being higher up; then you can look in peoples cars Haha.

Re: Anyone else prefer stock ride height?

I like my 4x4s lifted,6-8" on 35s works good for me.For 2wd I am old school,no rims over 16",hate those 20-22" wheels, stock height too...I have 7 miles of gravel roads just to get to pavement,a lowered truck would be hung up just leaving the drive way!!!!

yes, you do get a good view from up there. when a car pulls up beside you at a lite with a girl, they almost always-1#, look way up at you, 2#, fold their arms across their chests. i got tired of dirty looks for minding my own bizness, so i put a disclaimer on my truck. higher is always better

I do not care for lowering anything. Car or truck. I prefer slightly raised from stock, even on my car.

Re: Anyone else prefer stock ride height?

I like stock ride height for my 2WD. Well, it's not totally stock, I did remove a couple leafs from the rear to get rid the rake and level it out some. I still don't need a jack to get under the truck however.

Re: Anyone else prefer stock ride height?

Stock height with the right 15" tire combo gives it a nice stance

Re: Anyone else prefer stock ride height?

I like anything done with good taste. I also always appreciate seeing a vehicle that has survived all the years unchanged. When they're new you want to do things to set them apart. Take good care of it so it lasts a long time without changing a thing and you end up with the one that's different.

I like them on the ground, in the air, and stock. I don't see one very often that I don't like actually.

Re: Anyone else prefer stock ride height?

For my only truck I like it stock height with bigger tires. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to having a giant lifted monster or something fast and low as a toy. I would just consider it a car and not expect it to do truck things...

You can set my truck on fire and roll it down a hill,
and I still wouldn't trade it for a Coupe de Ville.
