5 speed or 6 speed.

Hello all. I'm the proud owner of an 87 Lwb half ton 4x4. Original trans and diffs. My question is: is there a bolt in 5 or 6 speed tranny that will work with the original 208 tc. Or even a 205. I've got a 4 speed with the granny. Don't quite remember the step from 1-2 being so big when I was a kid. But she's a doozy and I'd like a smoother trans and better milage.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
