Re: Should I?

Well just so you know one of the local body shops quoted me $12,000.00 to do mine.

$3,000 IS a lot of money to most people but since I am pretty particular I would pay it.

Maybe the guy will let you help some so you can either get more for the money or less on the cost?

Re: Should I?

So here is the way i look at it.....
I have 2 patina trucks and love them...I take them to shows and there are always some people that like them and then a group of people that see them as unfinished....

I have 2 trucks that are shinney and drivers but not nearly as impressive builds but it amazes me how people always like them...

So....It turns out I don't really care what other people like or think I should like.....I dig my patina trucks and am not painting them to make people happy. He who owns the truck should make it the way you like it. So the moral of the story is do what makes you happy.....lol....As far as painting it yourself or having it painted goes?...Well if someone was going to paint my trucks for 3 grand ( and i wanted it painted ) I would be all over that because thats so cheap it's not even funny....Where i am supplies would be more then half of that. Keeping that in mind I painted some of my own stuff years ago and was just telling my buddies the otherday that I am going to start doing some of that stuff again myself just because it feels so good to do it myself.....So what makes you happy ?....
