Re: truck intake cover idea

Are you gonna try to do a Camaro-style intake cover like the new ones have?

Re: truck intake cover idea

Well I guess it favors it but i don't like how square that one looks. ALso I want the coil covers lower and separate. It is actually based off a fabbed intake I saw in hotrods mag

Any progress on the engine cover? Save that buck and you can make more of them.

Re: truck intake cover idea

ok guys, I was going to have to major body puddy this thing to get it it look like I wanted and I was surfing ebay and saw this. picked it up for 30$ shipped. I plan to leave the center gray and paint the sides cherry red like the valve covers. I have a round ss decal I will put over the bmw portion and I may add some 6.0 logos on the sides. don't know yet but here are some pics of what im working with!

Cool Re: truck intake cover idea

How do you plan to hold it down? I think it will look cool once that Beemer emblem is covered up. This is what I came up with.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Lightbulb Re: truck intake cover idea

Take the SS back off and either sand the BMW emblem down are buy a cheap stick on white decal with nothing printed on it and then putt the SS back on to fill up the impression.
Sanding it down though would be the best I think.
