Which part of the truck? Depending if you are talking about cab, bed, frame, front end, doors, engine. Got them all at a different time. All togeather the oldest piece I have owned in the truck is four years.

2+ years now

I had a 90 Honda Civic Hatchback...

I crashed it once... still ran and moved...

Crashed it again... didn't move anymore...

My dad had a Light blue 1969 GMC LWB 2wd 350cc TH400 sitting in his yard for as long as i can remember and he picked it up from a local dealer for 1k.

He fixed it up and was still working on it. He told me that since i didn't have a car anymore, he'd GIVE the truck to me if I bought a new radiator for it. I was kind of hesitant cause I didn't like old vehicles much back then... After letting it sit in my front yard for a little while, i slowly started getting into it.

Now, my truck is my baby and I will never let it go.

w00t!

14 years

I've had mine for over 14 years. My Grandfather left it to me before he passed away in 1986 when I was 7 years old. I'm the 3rd owner of that truck. I love that old 1968 Chevy Stepside.

My dad bought it new in april '72. Ordered what he wanted the spare tire took the price just over $4000. I got it in sept '82 with 76k miles. put in 3 sets of exhaust, 1 trans rebuild, 1 top end at 84k miles, 4 sets of tires Bias 9.50x16.5s, and finally did a hold over rebuild at 150k miles which cost 16k for body and engine rebuild. It's a keeper.

My Grandfather bought mine new in 69. Gave it to my Dad with the understanding it will never leave the family. Four or five years ago he gave it to me under the same conditions. Now that my Grandfather has recently passed away, I really have the need to Fix it up.

Bought mine in '86 for $1200 with a snow blade attached and a 3/4 ton 2 wd parts truck. "Package deal, wanna get'em both out of the yard" Parted out the 3/4 ton for what was decent to use on my truck. Still have the rear axle and box for a trash trailer. Use it now that the truck is "done" if there ever is such a thing.

My 17 year old gets the 71 4x4, middle son get the 71 Chevelle SS and oldest son gets the 57 2dr. It's in the will but I keep telling them that they are NOT to get rid of them.

I have my father-in-law's Ford (I know, but GM never built a tractor!!) 8N built in '48 and completely redone in '96. One year before he passed away. Sure was good to see the grin on his face when he seen it back to the way he bought it!!

I bought mine 3 months after I turned 16 for $875. The truck was completely stock. Talked the guy down from $1500. I'm turning 25 this month and it's still my only vehicle. I think I have changed it just a touch. Now it's practically a brand new truck. Oh yeah, that's 9 years.
