Well I got it all back together and went out for a test drive. Success! It is nice and smooth. I even through in a new u-joint at the trans slip joint. If I have to do this again, I will probably try flipping the bracket like you guys suggested. I didn't even look at that while I had it apart.

I hope this thread helps someone out in the future!

I used the same Neapco bearing in my truck and it has been working great.
