Re: Pics of green trucks please

Good question, and one that I am pondering as we near final paint for our project. I have collected pics of green trucks. Here are 3 trucks I like...

First couple pics are a 1963 Glenwood Green....Next is the Holley shop truck, which I tend to think is 503 green but could have been tweaked by Jimmy Shine at SoCal hot rods. Lastly is a green from 1967 Cadillac Elderado. I saw this truck at a Goodguys show and it looked phenomenal.

These are on my short list....choices....choices....

Re: Pics of green trucks please

Thanks guys. That glenwoodgreen is what I'm after ,I think with a cream color as trim paint. Can't decide if solid or two tone. If I can find a clean 62 chrome grill, will go solid. If not will trim in cream color. I had a 69 that looked a lot like the second truck in the last pics years ago. I'm thinking the same green and cream for interior as well.

Re: Pics of green trucks please

Canadian truck. Paint code shows 500 with maybe a 2 behind it outside the vin tag border and partially cut off, so 5002?. Can't remember but the roof was probably also green and the fenders are fiberglass replacements.

Great pic. You don't see the color very often.

My 63 shows 505A for the code on the kick panel. Was it the same in 66?

Re: Pics of green trucks please

Heres a pic of my 63 short stepper when it was glenwood green which was its original color. This was only the 2nd paint job at the time, last having been done in the late 70's or early 80's.

Re: Pics of green trucks please

Awesome to see some more green. That 505 looks to be a match as the original paint for my truck.

Your original code should be on your data tag on the driver kick panel. But sure does look like Woodland green to me.

In doing some research I noticed that in 1960 & 61 it was code 705A and called Hemlock Green, 62-64 it was 505A Woodland Green, in 65-66 505A was called Dark Green.

Thank you for your help! I look forward to contributing to this forum as I learn from you senior members. I just checked it out and found a 510 code. Thanks to LostMy65's link I tracked that to a Turquoise.
