Re: Door panels 67-71

These are replacement panels , or if you want I can send you the skins for you to recover your steel panels , Many times the steel panels are just rusted to bad to reuse them.

Re: Door panels 67-71

..Hey Grumpy..this pic is my 67 GMC door with the new panel I ordered from LMC..The panel as you know is 68 which I like better..but..it is a solid piece of plastic, as you prolly know that too..but.. it is not going to fit without grinding the top or bottom..the top lip of the panel will go under the top metal strip like its 'pose to..but..then the bottom wont go on..
The same design panels you show doesn't have that lip I mentioned to go under the metal strip on door..Do you think your panels you're showing (which I really want) will work on my
67 doors? If so I want a black set..(I'd like to add enough $ for a 12 pack of Heiny)
WELL don't remember how to send pics..Too old to learn all the comp crap!
will get thhe wife (dang I hate that lol )

Re: Door panels 67-71

I can build them to fit with the upper moulding or without the moulding , I have 67 doors to use as a pattern I just need to know what you want ? If it's something custom all I need is a picture of the panel to reproduce them or even a basic sketch .

Grumpy..Are you responding to my post? If so I'm giving you my order if you think the vertical line design panels that you are showing will fit my door..that's the ones I want..Black..
I'm not sure what you mean by "upper moulding" I'm not modifying any thing on my doors..
If we all set I will give you my address..You do PayPal?

Align the panel on the door bottom and sides you can use a thin punch to align it using the lower mounting bolt holes already punched in the panel , push the panel against the door and the window crank and door handle latch will protrude thru the pre punched holes just use a razor blade to cut a small x allowing the shafts to come thru the material ,you can then remove it and install the top edge under the top trim and then install the lower bolts , the door handle bolt holes are also pre punched and you should be able to feel the 2 bolt holes and use the same small punch to locate the nut sets in the door . Easy peasy !

Check the location of the shaft in relation to the pre punched hole if the alignment (centered ) you should be able to use the spacers you have if alignment is off use the flat spacers ,I use original steel panels and doors as patterns so everything should line up good .

Sure, I don't have a burb here but I can run over to the chevytruckfarm and use one of his for the patterns . He had a few he's parting out that still had doors

I have a 68 Burb and would also be interested in a full setup if you can swing it.
