6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
I am starting a build on a truck I've had since I was 14 years old, I would love to hear ur opinions and ideas are welcomed. The first pic is how it was when I tore it down for this build.

Mock up engine "stock 6.0L" with speed engineering headers and a PTC build TH400 Trans with pro mod drum reverse manual valve body and Trans brake.

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
Sat the engine and Trans in to do a lol mock up. Not the right placement yet but I'll get there. Also waiting on a couple BW S366 turbos and a BTR cam. I need the turbos for mock up also.

Cool so far! Any plans to paint the frame, or leaving it bare? Just asking, I don't know your goals.

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
Looks like the start of a nice build! Im planning on running those headers on my truck once i put a 4.8 or 5.3 in it. Have you put the master cylinder and booster (if youre running one) on it to see if it clears or not?

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
Looks like you're well underway.
Turbos are too much fun. Drive like stock, absolutely brutal power on the boost. I've posted this before, but I'll say it again. Everyone is quick to spend money on the short block/engine when really the keys are: - Fuel system - Engine management (I'm not a fan of the stock pcm for boost) - Tq converter - Trans You've got a great start with the ptc converter and TH400. It's gonna be a mean machine once you get it going!

Re: 6.0 LSX twin turbo 72 c10
Yes I will be cleaning and painting the frame but for mock up and what I may need to weld I want to wait til the cab and bed are at paint for all of that.
As for the brake booster I haven't got that far yet but will b looking into that. Last edited by GRN72; 04-25-2016 at 12:19 PM. Reason: Add |

But on E85 I'm most certainly not running out of fuel under boost. As for street driving, 10,000+ miles on the setup and so far so good. I could have went cheaper but I just didn't want to deal with a fuel delivery problem and associated headaches.
