Go for it at that price. I looked for a set of 3.90 gears with no luck when i did mine. With your trans you should be fine with the 3.90's. these gears new nos?

They aren't new, but are in good shape. Take outs from guys going to 3.38

Another thing to ck is your axles bearing surface (the part that rides on the bearing) could be another expense. Of course any used axle is a gamble.

There are repair bearings available that run outside of the usual worn out axle bearing surfaces. Gives old axles one more kick at the can.
