Thank you very much, that means a lot. Everyone’s comments are very nice! Yes, I would have loved to be filmed but you might not have been able to hear what I’m saying because of all the censoring that would have been going on at me cursing at it! When I originally bought the truck, I thought it was going to take me 2 years to complete, I amazed myself! And I just want to make o e thing clear, I bought this truck with intentions of never selling it, so I made sure to cut NO corners and do nothing half@ssed. It’s built right and built to last. I have many extra hours in just giving it the extra corrosion protection I could do to help prevent it to rust out again. Thanks for the compliment and if any tv producers are reading this, I’ll be happy to buy another one and do it again if you are willing to pay me

Re: My 1954 Chevy 3100 project

I didn’t get to do much to it today, I have been putting off preventative maintenance all summer on my other cars, so today I spent most of the day attending to my other cars. I did get a chance to put my logo or should I say fake logo as I really don’t have a shop, but I wanted it to look like a old shop truck and give it a good coating of wax.. I’ll get better pictures of it tomorrow

The lighting is not right as there was a blue tarp behind me making the truck look a different color. I’ll get better pictures tomorrow

First off, I think it’s great you’re already back on the road.

Quick question though, do you have a picture of your steering shaft routing.

It’s the original mirror bracket and the round mirror from the truck shop but it’s the same as 3 & 1 on image you posted

Re: My 1954 Chevy 3100 project

FWIW The square mirrors are available from O'Reilly ($9) and off Epay (4.99). I needed to add a simple flat 1" extension to the Pass side arm to run them Horizontally.

Re: My 1954 Chevy 3100 project

Just finished reading your build... really, really like what you did. I have a stock '49 that I'd like to take in this direction. There are a LOT of options on how to build these trucks! I'm kinda leaning toward the stock frame, Mustang 2, rear leafs like yours. Can I ask a couple questions?

- what hanging pedals and master cylinder setup is that?
- what rear leafs are you using?

Thanks very much!! The rear leafs are Total Cost Invloved, as far as the pedal setup, I’m not sure, It’s a very long story on how I acquired the pedals, but long story short, I have had them for a while sitting and collecting dust and took a gamble to see if they would even work and they do.
