Re: 1969 K10 CST Full Restoration
After more than year in NorthEast Georgia with me, we finally loaded up the truck for the trip to my brother's. Pulled out at 6am and arrived exactly 3 hours later. We packed a little surprise for him (one that you'll appreciate Pete)...a set of freshly painted rallys (OLDYELLOW signature series). My brother has always wanted those darn rallys on there. But he better have some super crisp center caps and trim rings if they're going on this truck!
It was a fun day...felt more like a christening as we received a mini parade of family and friends (responsibly of course) to check it out. Who knows what the future holds for the truck. That's up to him. But much like the birth of baby...the pain fades and is often forgotten (says the dad). And all I seem to remember today is the fun.

Re: 1969 K10 CST Full Restoration
Spectacular job guys! Brad thanks for the updated photos.
If your brother needs a nice set of caps for the rally wheels have him reach out to me. I've got the take-off NOS set that were briefly used on my Blazer but the trim rings went to another member. Cheers

Did someone say Rally wheels!!!???? Now that excites me...LOL
I love this truck and hope he posts pics of it monthly for all of us to see. How about you build a nice square body just like it?

Unfortunately, 2020 has turned into a real Melvin (you may have noticed). Once the truck was finally complete, shuffling it off to an ACA or C10 National level event didn't seem like a real possibility anytime soon. And since bread is always better when it's fresh, now was the time. I learned a lot and got my pics so I'm good. But gosh, I did hate to see the tow hooks go ;P

Re: 1969 K10 CST Full Restoration
Hate to see it go, but sounds like it found a good home. 2020 certainly has "turned into a real Melvin". Perhaps we should change professions and work on trucks for a living - definitely a safer proposition with just as many cuss words.

It'll be a while...but here she is. '70 K20 Z62. 538 two tone with a blue interior. She's mine and she's a keeper. Just parts accumulation and subassemblies for now. Maybe pull her into the shop in earnest sometime next year.
