Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

I'm not looking for nothing crazy... I was looking at some injectors from bd diesel either 45 or 60 hp then a 3 piece manifold and a superb single turbo... But I have lots of other things to tie up first.. Brake lines fuel lines pump sending unit all the good stuff

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

I honestly don't remember I found the info on this site I believe it was 14 inches that's cut out of the frame...

Have most of the cab blocked down a few areas to touch up and then i will re prime the cab again hopefully for the last time before paint

Browsing threw my photos n come a cross a good photo if my first vehicle and build ... Was a learning experience for me and I wish I wouldn't have sold it... Well more like give away... Gettin it's yearly detail before the strip

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Well waiting for the lift pump and some russel fitting for the fuel lines, also have the proportioning valve coming all the brake lines and fitting... So back to body work till that stuff shows up... Blocked out the epoxy primer find my problems areas and got em all beat out and filled and blocked... Just need to get it up on stands and do the rockers and it will be ready for a coat of epoxy primer followed up by some Polly high build... Depending in how long the brake and fuel parts take to show up I might even get the box sided blocked down and shot in high build aswell

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Cabs all epoxy primed and sprayed with high build fixed all the dings I could find see what happens when I guide coat and block out... All my brake lines showed up the rest of tho fittings will be in first thing and my summit order is on its way... Can't wait... Only thing I'm not sure on a time frame is the fass lift pump which was back ordered

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Gettin back at it a bit... Trying to get my acreage yard done aswell finally got a break from it... Changed my traction bars again and changed the mounts this is the final time ... 1.750 x 0.250 wall all the jam nuts and tube ends came in. So there all welded up and 7/8 hiem joints in the ends... Shouldn't break them anyways. Got the rear diff brake lines all bent and run up to the frame just have to mount the proportion valve and tie the brakes in. My daily driver went into my buddy's shop to get upper control arms by the end of the day it come out six inches taller... Nice guy but cut into my crew cab money...

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Got some new skins to compliment the lift in my truck.. Fit good and no rubbing... 325-65-r18... 35x 13.5... Was going to work on the truck today but the gfs bike needs a battery and trying to help a guy finish up a dmax swap into a 98 crew cab short box dually... Just trying to make the intercooler, ac condenser, trans and engine oil coolers fit behind the grill

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Got my front end set back on just so I could hold the rad support while I cut n hacked it up... Got it all cut open and supports removed n replaced with 3/4inch square tubing around the outside edge of the intercooler... Not pictured but the top mounts are in just have to build something to hold the bottem... Going to order paint and bed liner and hopefully get the fire wall sprayed and the cab floor inside so I can get it back on the frame.

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Ended up ordering paint for the firewall today as well as bed liner for the floor... Didn't go with cordova brown reason being I don't want to spray tri coat paint seeing that the truck will be sprayed 3 separate times for the brown... So I had to open the wallet and went with house of kolor root beer candy basecoat... Very nice bright brown in the sun... Very expensive ...hopefully don't screw it up haha.

Re: My crewcab 4x4 cummins project

Got a few odds n ends done the gf wanted to help so I had her blasting and painting steering parts and brake booster and master,,, did a decent job she bent up on of the brake lines to the frame flared it all so ill see if her work leaks lol... She was proud so ill leave everything she did alone... Also for my vintage ac firewall panels blasted and powder coated and the box back under the dash... Now I can figure out where I want my fuse panel mounted...

Got the poly blocked out on the box and any fixing needed done aswell and everything sitting together for final tweaking of panels... Haven't touched the truck in a few weeks been real busy with work... The gf and I have also picked up another project, she wanted something she could help on and learn the ropes so... How about a 1952 Morris minor 4 door it's about 90% complete with just a little rust in the trunk floor... Ill throw a picture up once I haul it home Monday..
