Thanks Ratt! Rims are 15x7 up front and 15x10 out back, think the rear backspace is 4.5 but can't remember the front, I can't remember the front tire size either but rear tire is a 295/50. I can only tuck them cause i'm running fiberglass rear fenders that are 3" wider than stock. As far as the suspension the rear is C notched with 2600 bags and the front is stock spindles boxxed lca with 2600 bags. I've got 2.5" drop spindles to put on but the front crossmember sits on the ground now so thinking about either Zing frame or sectioning the crossmember and installing a step notch in the rear. I really want to lay frame in this thing!

This one might not be right year but sure looked great. Painted perfect in details to look like old beat up truck. Was spotted on meeting in Charlotte, NC this September.

All of these faux patina paint jobs are nice but my issue with them is that most of the time a faux patina looks more like purposeful art and not age by time. So while they all look great and I highly respect the talent needed to create them - most of them are obvious mad made creations.

Yeah, he is one of the best for sure.

The amount of detail to get a true tromp l'oeil paintjob must take years of practice. It's so interesting how an attempt that doesn't quite hit the mark is completely obvious from 100 feet. My girlfriend who knows (cares) nothing about cars or paint and could instantly tell which trucks I was showing here were fake patina or not. I thought that was pretty interesting.

Thanx Swag. I didn't box my lca's but I have the 2.5 drop spindls and My lca's are and inch off the ground. I got 2600 bags all around.

That is one way to get the patina look. Strip off all the paint and let it sit in the rain for a few years.

Patina!!! I keep up on my truck every week,,, clear water rinse, then light sanding a some fresh primer over the "first stages of rust" keeps the look, keeps me involved with my truck. Im more focused on engine, brakes, wiring, etc than what ist looks like now.. Ill be done one day but until i am I like the color.

Just a guess but I think 6 x 5.5 like on stock C-10s. Unless he upgraded the front end.

I actually wish we had a name for trucks that are just that - Trucks.

Honest patina is natural - undeliberate. Some trucks have been painted over the years but still have the undeliberate wear appearance. Perhaps it has been painted several times over the years, but it's aged now. worn. undeliberate wear. Still being used as a truck.
