Update for this found out Toyota has a settlement to replace the trans and ecm for 10years or 150g miles to bad my friend sold it already

Re: project 86

Well I received my lower control arms, very upset about no shock tabs but was told they only add them by request don't know how I was supposed to know that when I had previously told them I couldn't find the link. The what waiting 10 weeks for parts will get you. I will post pictures when I figure out how to

I remember seeing that somewhere on their site & thought WTF.... Shock mounts should be standard. Type of mount should be where the need for 'by request' comes into plat if/when not the default option.

Bummer regardless....

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

I did not realize that because I had to contact him through the phone and e-mail because there was no link on the website For just lower control arms

I will fabricate my own mount but what pisses me off is the fact that I will ruin the powder coat

To be honest, IMO the PC-ing wasn't worth the cost.

I had mine done in the flat black knowing I would likely opt for painting them as well to obtain a closer match to the color of my other parts within the engine compartment. I used a mild red Scotchbrite pad w/some Simple Green to clean & scuff the arms for painting. I easily cut through the majority of the edges w/minimal pressure just trying for a consistent surface. I definitely wasn't aggressive & the SB pad was not a new pad....

Re: project 86

Finally took the time out to figure out how to post pictures. Not a lot of progress but I bought a 99 GMC bagged to flip then wrecked my 04 Camry. Helped a friend rebuild his RB25 ran into some program limitations trying to hit above 500hp. now time for pictures

Cool pics. Those power wheel toys will haul butt when you put a big battery in! Cheaper to replace, too.

Re: project 86

I've seen that 99 around for a while at a show or two and up on Craigslist for quite a while, it had a lot of short comings. I hope you can make them right and make it as cool as it was meant to be. Keep up the good work!
