Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Might be just my phone camera? It should be apple red, I painted it last summer and the paint matches the inside which is not painted afterwards. It was ral3003 shade, and it looked just like apple red. In some photos of my car its orange! Thanks for your comment!
Edit: same car but different camera and sun light

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Here is my 77 C30 Silverado. Have the original build sheet. Tons of options, 454, power windows/locks, camper special, A/C, dual tanks, the list goes on and on. Absolutely ZERO rust! I did put a 700R4 tranny in it so it gets a "tad" better mileage.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
I don't have any interior pics, here are some of the motor. It has just been totally rebuilt, and I put the 700R4 in it to make it easier on the motor not turning as many RPM's more than the fuel mileage. The mileage is probably no better than 10 mpg. It's got a 4:56 gear in it. And it's also got a factory tach, thats a pretty rare option if ya ask me!

http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/i...attach/jpg.gif 1977 Out of AR. Tail gate, doors entire ft clip is NOS GM sheet metal. It is currently tore down to redo one last time. Sectioned (1 1/2") front cross member, narrowed lower control arms, 3" dropped spindles, 2" coil drop, 455 Olds 400 Turbo, narrowed 9" by Moser Eng. leaf springs moved in board. Tach dash is being added. The pix is long ago. Drove this everyday except dead of winter (snow) and avoided rainy days mainly of the other drivers. Yes, the rear tires make wet roads extremely skittish. Pay attention, slow up and your fine.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Hi Juiceman. Your truck looks great. I am probably biased but I think that if you're going with 15" rims, you can't go wrong with a set of Torque Thrusts for a tough "period" look. Along with the factory ralleys they always look good on our trucks. It looks great as it is but do you have any plans to lower it?

First I'm working on cleaning up the motor/trans and interior. I bought it on a snowy day and didn't really get an opportunity to go through it before laying down the cash. I got quite a few fluid leaks that need addressed first. |

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Nonsense! It will ruin the look AND usefulness of the truck, leave it! Just replace the cab mounts.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
my truck is low and I can still haul and tow stuff...plus I have adjustable air shocks on it...rides great. imo ur wheel n tire combo will look killer on a lowered truck.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
What about ground clearance? Unless you live on the salt flats I know its stopped you from going places.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
the roads around where i live is pretty bad in some places but I never bottomed out...the only time I cant drive it is when there is a lot of snow. but then I don't wanna drive it in the snow anyway cuz its a bit scary. I do have good tires on it so it doesn't slide around to bad. and besides its not a work or farm truck...im tryin to make a fun and fast cruiser out of it.

Re: How about some pics of 73-87 Long Beds?
Personal expression is the key to this hobby. It would be pretty boring if we had to follow rules in each of our builds. Whether it's ride hight, wheel selection oe even color choice, we are blessed with the freedom that allow us to modify our trucks to suit our own tastes. Oh yeah, even though my truck has a fairly deep static drop I still throw a bed liner in it and use it as a truck.

That is a really good looking truck mk, but I still like them sitting up a little higher.
