Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Since I had to turn her around to put in the new door gasket on the passenger side; I decided to dust her off and get her all shiny to get some Glamour Shots by my deck under the Oak Tree. I lost the first hub cap on our maiden drive last month, never did find it. I have to buy another.....unless someone wants to donate to poor 'Lil Jake

Sorry no pictures, but I drove my 65 to the local Batteries+Bulbs store for a battery for my welding helmet and to breakfast. Then once home, continued fabbing patch panels and welding them in the floor on my 66.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I installed door seals from Painless and they are awesome. They clip on and have an adhesive that is already applied in the groove. I am currently waiting for the first coat of varnish to dry on my bed wood. I got a new set of belt line window fuzzies from brothers and they are horrible. The truck is fully drivable and I am enjoying it.

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

I entered my truck in its first car show yesterday. This was the 22 annual Veterans car show hosted by the local chevy dealer here in Goldsboro nc.
To my surprise I won the peoples choice award in the truck class. Then they really surprised me by presenting me best in class for trucks. Two awards and
$500.00 cash for my first show.

yes they are the buddy bucket seats, the seats are light grey vinyl with blue houndstooth insert! I still got to strip the base down an paint it along with the driver seat adjuster and lil bracket to mount the seats

Re: What did you do to your truck today part III

Over the past couple of days I installed shifter, mounted one of my seats (they're donors from an Audi A4 electric and heated) ran front airlines into cab and started my bed lining, until effin gun failed me... Today hope to install cam, and start fabbing up ck2enter console/sub box...

Porterbuilt gas shock hinges, bath, primed door, shoulder pads and put the original rechromed badges on. Waiting for help to weld up hood parts and get on PB hinges.
