I have that. But i may be missing something. How the heck do you get UNDER the truck if that was to happen?? I guess all 4 wouldnt drop unless you lost your air tank or something>???

Your valves keep the air in your bags, I could unhook my tank once the trucks up... So yea you would have to have a lot of stuff go wrong to have something cause it to drop...

that's exactly why im mounting the tank under the cab and hydraulic hose to the firewall where i'll have all my valves. i'll never have to go under my truck for anything! except to drain the tank of any water. the worst that can happen is a fill valve might stop working. if stuff is under the truck and you air out and your a fill valve doesnt work you are stranded...on a old truck i had 1 fill valve for both rear bags and it went out ......thats why im doing mine like i am...i'll have pics in my build next week. i have 5 nights i can work on it so im gonna get alot done.

if you air out and cant get a jack under it, here the solution for the back...have a hidden hitch behind your tag. slide an "extention step" (thing they sell for people to use as a step) in and it will give you a good place to jack onto. the front should be easy to jack onto the frame horns

I was thinking that i can reach my bags by simply reaching through my wheels, but then i saw that you had smoothies

seems like running each bag indepependantly is the way to cure this concern. the chances of losing operation of all 4 bags at once is slim to none. If your compressors die, it is a good idea to have an emergency shrader valve somewhere on your tank as a backup fill.

One of the reasons i didnt go as low as if i did lose air i would want to still be able to drive home. If you come up with a good response, that might give me the reason to porterbuilt the front end on this thing.

what size centerline wheels are those?

That is a great 2wd blazer. What are your plans for it? If you don't mind I'd like to include your pic on my 2wd blazer page (see my sig).

Re: post all bagged c10 here

Wheels are 20's up front and 22's in back, I cant remember the exact tire size off the top of my head and the trucks over in my shop so I'll have to check and post again tomorrow. The LCA's sit pretty much on the pavement, it will drag them if Im rolling with it layed out, but the tires will rub the inner fenders also. With the bags aired all the way down the inner fenders are resting right on top of the tires. I'll try and get some better pics tomorrow from the side and from underneath the front so you can see how low the crossmember and the lower control arms are. Heres another pic, its the best I have on this computer right now, I'll try and get some more tomorrow.

Thanks. The truck is actually just shot in grey velvaseal right now, but it looks kind of shiny in that pic. The wheels up front are 20x8.5 with 5.25 backspacing and the tires are 255/35/R20's. Im actually wanting to put some steel wheels on it and thats how I came across this post. From what I've read some 15x6 steelies from a Chevy van might work with the drop spindles. Is that correct or does anyone have experience with steelies on a bagged truck with drop spindles? If you do can you tell me where I can get some or what I need to look for? Im wanting to give the truck a ratrod/shoptruck look and the big chrome rims just dont fit the bill. I took this pic today of the lower control arm with the truck aired all the way down.

Yep, 15x6.5 van ralleys work w/drop spindles no problem. The 'skinny' ralleys came on GM vans from the mid 70's until the mid eighties so they should be easy to find in almost any wrecking yard.

just my lil humor.

This is in Reference to another post that had a Green, Black primered, and Orange pre 70's trucks all facing a 1970's + truck in the Doorway of a Garage....I thought the Pic would follow my post...but it didn't. I'm an idiot!
