Re: LFD's gas pedal adapters (71-72 gas pedals in 67-70's)

Ok as of tonight they have all been labeled and will ship out in the morning. Sorry for any delay but I was doing 16hr days at work and my tap broke last sunday and it was not until tonight I had time to pick up more.
But now I am out of brackets once again and I am looking into a shop to water jet them out and may add my logo to them as well but I will have to see what the up cost will be. Ether way I should have more ready to go in about 1-2 weeks.

If any more guys are interested in a bracket and purchase before I post about the cost of the shop made brackets they will get them for the old cost, but if the price is through the roof you will get the current bracket for the regular price. So who feels lucky

I am pulling the trigger on the new brackets today and should have them some time next week. I will keep the price the same for the first batch of 20 then it will go up to $40 ea.

I've already completed paint and body on my cab so welding up any holes would be costly.

Is it possible to use this adapter and just use a rubber plug or delete plate for the other holes?

Yes you can do just that. I first made these plates for just this problem, after paint you don't want to burn through

I should find out Tuesday what the delivery date will be for the new plates. They are first making one part so I can check and approve it before they make the first large batch. This part wil have my LFD logo water cut in the center of the part and will be much cleaner than the other ones I was making my self because I figured if I am going to pay to have them cut I might as well get a bit better looks out of it.

Re: LFD's gas pedal adapters (71-72 gas pedals in 67-70's)

Up date on the new plates. I should have the first piece to check quality and accuracy of the mounting holes as well as the tapped holes by Friday. As long as all is good then I will have the full batch by middle of next week. I have about 10 pre orders in now and they are filled out and ready to ship as soon as I pick up the final plates.

Just put one in my '68. Used a '72 pedal and Lokar cable and bracket. Works great.

Before they were all hand made, cut out and punched and tapped. They worked good but were not the prettiest part to look at because of the time involved to make them. Now they are water cut and the part is smaller because of the precise tolerances of the water jet and now looks like a production part should.

The other reason for going this route is because with my work and home schedule I just don't have time to keep up with them. So it was quite common that I would run out of product and it would take several weeks to have time to get cought up. Now they are only a phone call away. Before doing this I was having to look at not selling them any more because the time involved and the few bucks made did not justify it self.
