Re: John's Project
Hey Chris long time no see. Glad to see your still kicking. Congrats on the new business. I knew you were starting to have issues with your old place, so hope this is working out for ya. I probably won't make it to either place this weekend. I'm going to really shoot to get my engine out this weekend, and get the engine bay ready for the new motor.
How are your projects coming? You ended up selling both of your SWB's didn't ya? |

Thanks McBassin. Yeah I saw your SWB in your 69 thread. I have to tell you. If you read my post you know I'm terrible at pics. I'll try though.

Re: John's Project
Uhmmm let me see if I can find them
Started pulling stuff off the motor this weekend. Ran into a roadblock with not having a drain pan for the coolant. Got one this morning from the store so now I can finish pulling the water pump and such. Did go and listen to my engine yesterday. Oh man it sounded awesome! |

Re: John's Project
It's my best friends dad that is building it. He seems to be really fair on price. Don't think he's cutting me any steal of a deal, but I know he's doing it right, and not just taking my money and pushing me out the door. He does it part time after hours. He is an insurance agent, and does engine building on the side. If your interested pm me and I'll give you his name and number.

Re: John's Project
Thanks Bumslie.
John- I was hesitant about starting a build thread for this very reason. I knew I wasn't fast at progress on it. However, I cave under peer pressure so I started one. So here we are no pics, and little progress. I can see progress on the horizon though. Hearing that engine gave me the motivation I needed to get moving. Just can't promise pics. |

Re: John's Project
Yeah I keep thinking that too. Every time they call out the numbers I think to myself. You know self, , I really should have bought a ticket. I call out the numbers as they do, and no check appears at my door.

John, do you still have that solid back glass? and if so, you think it'll make the trip to South Carolina...

Re: John's Project
My truck has the solid back glass in it, but I don't think I'm going to change it to a slider. So won't be parting with it. Sorry.

Re: John's Project
Just don't plan on changing to a slider. Guess though it depends on how fast I get my A/C done on it.
