Third and final coat of satin oil finish.

Wanted to see how it would look installed in the truck, so placed the boards in order along with the unpolished stainless steal strips. Used unpolished because their will be stuff in the bed at times.

Body shop report, no progress this week, their still working on a 70 Cuda almost done, it is scheduled to get back inline next week.

Have to look in file for price, and get back to you, it was one of their lower priced ones. I was happy with the northern white pine price, since it is a little hard to find these days. If going with oak would use white vs red if it will be exposed to weather. Here in KY which is one of the top 5 wood producing states, with both red and white oak. White oak is what is used for barns, wagons, etc.

Thanks for compliment, hoping it will look good in truck too. Visited body shop today, still in limbo, hope for work to start again in about 10 days.

Cleaning up garage for grandsons new to us arrival. It will be his first truck project together with his farther, and me some. It is an original 1964 K10

Purchased another 86' SB SS from out west, very clean and little rust. Had
opportunity, with free ride home. Not sure what will become of it? The frame is pictured below.

It has very little rust or damage, will put it away for later use. The frame is really clean. May be make a hot rod out of it, 417 C.I. World Products SB and new 6 speed automatic???

It does have the JB5 brake package.


Hopefully body shop is working on red truck??

Good news to report from body shop, the fenders front and rear are being blocked for first time, getting closer to paint. Prime one more time and blocking, then paint!

Good news from the body shop, the truck is back being worked on and hopefully will be completed in about 3 week, may be, who know. The hood is the last part to have body work done and primed. After it is done, then every thing will be primed and blocked one more time before painting. After final priming and blocking the bed will be reassemblied wo/fenders for painting.

The repaired cab corners are completed too.
