Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks

Heres mine I got him on October 10 bought her with the money from many grass seasons, Its my first truck (im only 15) she has a 283 with 3 on the tree. I plan on cutting the springs (cant afford bags) and making it a short bed, I think I will make her the original baby blue with chrome smoothies, and white bumpers. Shes gonna be allot of work but thats why I bought her a year before I get my license.

Enjoy the build, I wish I had started when I was 15. Well at least I'm 15 at heart.

Good for you, and welcome to the forum. Nothing like youthful enthusiasm to see a project through.

Congratulations young sir. And your hard work to get the truck is to be commended. Now the real work starts. Lol. This site is a wealth of information and remember to be patient. I've rushed into stuff and ended up way more frustrated than I needed to be. I'm sure she will turn out very nice.

Cheers

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

Hey Guys this truck completly stock except for the motor and trans.
The motor is 406 sbc N/A,550hp,Full 3'' exhaust right out to the back, 5500 stall, turbo 350,stock suspension,'' Nascar''with the factory control arms,
and orginal axels,I think there's 7 years of racing on that rear and the only thing that I broke is 2 ring gears, but thats 500/600 hundred of passes........ lol lol
Hell I still shift it on the steering coloum......... : )
And M/T Drag radials,is where I got my best 60fts 1.54,oh and 90/10 front shocks.
This truck is a blast to race I've had this truck for 25 years,I dated my wife in this truck..............lol lol
