Re: Weekly Sightings
dude, your truck is sick. here is a few ive seen this week. the red c20 i saw today, utility bed, flawless truck, modern frame. then the 72 longbed in pieces, poor old girl was in picknpull. i went to see her and see what good parts it had. then the other blue one was an old guy i saw driving her, at least she was on the road.

Re: Weekly Sightings
so ive been slacking...heres a few pics ive gotten. the primer longbed is fixing to be chopped down into a short step buy its owner. the orange shortbed was way over priced, 9k, and had crappy paint, rust bubbles, i picked that truck apart. it was slapped together in hopes to find some dumb kid wanting to look cool at school whose parents have deep pockets. its amazing what a dad who has years of autobody knowledge, chevy enthusiast and his son can pick apart. its our bonding moment, we nit pick all the hidden rust and crap, era correct and clones of chevy. our most fun are the fake ss chevelles. ive flat called out a poser with a 72 "ss" who was trying to pass it off as an ss for the fast and furious five debut, he tried to park out front, had people ooing and awwing, till i looked it over and said it was fake, he sure was quiet. i dont mind a clone as long as the owner isnt trying to play dumb or deny it. but posers....anyways, the longbed slant nose was at a stop light, some kid cruising it. gave him thumbs up. i shoulda bought the truck when i had the chance. bought a month ago the truck came up on craigslist, full 5lug disc conversion, running and driving 350, needed some engine work. wanted like 1800, it has fresh paint. i missed a good deal. the gmc was just a beautiful truck that was well taken care of. anyone see that "donk" massive rimmed pos in the background. i hate those cars, i call them easy oil changes, no jack required.

Re: Weekly Sightings
Looked at this 66 2wd today, has a 305 4spd standard and body if fixable with front fenders, floor is exceptionally nice shape. Price $1,000 or rebuild a 350 TBi engine for him, not sure if I should pick it up or just keep upgrading my 71.
What do you guys think about this one. Could maybe sit on it for a while I guess. |

Re: Weekly Sightings
Mudman offer him $1300 if he will include the truck behind it, kinda curious of how he got those 90s wheels on it, i thought those wheels didnt fit because of spacing issues. i personally would be willing to give $1000 for that truck but id offer 750 and see what he says just because i like to make deals. Paws, for 10k that truck better be flawless before i would cough up that cash. 10k is a lot for that truck. here are my reasons why. obviously the guy didnt pay attention to detail, the headlight buckets are peeling/chipping of the black paint. and the bed paint doesnt look good. big splotch. and looks like a small dent on the top of the fender curve. for 10k i shouldnt have to do a single thing to the truck and two, not a lot of people wanting a c10 want a c30 flatbed. thanks just my opinion

Re: Weekly Sightings
I ave "no idea" what the heck the weird plastic fan if from, think I saw one on a Cavalier a few years ago, oh I can get the back 61 truck for cheap, in worse shape but all there, the good thing is I can have the truck or both if I wanted for labour exchange, so may bite on the 66 since it has a 305 and he said will throw in a T350 with it, also can store it in his big yard for awhile too.

Re: Weekly Sightings
Sounds like I am going for the trade labour for 66 truck deal and just sit on it for awhile. I know what you mean on the different country thing, wow so many things others have but so far away. Darn border.

Re: Weekly Sightings
I saw this one today and followed it into the gas station. I fell in love when I saw it! Got a chance to talk to the guys that owned it and had a great time!
Low original miles, they said it only had 13,000 when they got it.

Re: Weekly Sightings
wow thats a clean truck! here is a lwb 72 i saw today. im guessing i saw 5 or 6 trucks today. only 2 67-72. the others were 60s. riding shotgun makes it hard to stop and take a pic. saw an awesome 71/72 k10. this 72 was in pretty good shape. other than the small heres and theres like any of our trucks, i really didnt notice any bad rust. it was definitely a good dd. pretty straight body. just a prime example of our trucks still out working and making money. this couple was selling fresh fish if i remember correctly at the flea market. i cant remember, the sun baked my brain today.
