When I was a kid we had chickens and we weren't zoned to have them. But none of the neighbors complained. They all bought eggs from us. They were way better than store bought eggs. I wouldn't eat store bought eggs for years. They just weren't the same.

I saw a sign for fresh eggs by my house out in the sticks. I drove down the dirt road in my wife's little Fiat and pull into this place. There's a bunch of really rough looking bikers there and they don't look friendly. I told my buddy that I think we just made a wrong turn.

A big guy with a bald head, no shirt, covered in tattoo's walks up to us and asks what in the hell are we doing on his property. He wasn't happy.

I nervously ask. "Do you sell eggs?' I saw the sign.

Now everything changes. He's all friendly and tells me. "Oh no. It's the house 3 doors down on the right'. Those eggs are good.

So I thanked him and got the hell out of there fast. A lot of trouble for eggs but he was right. They were good eggs.

I bought duck eggs too. But they just tasted like eggs to me.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

Pertaining to the Grateful Dead posts ... I recently watched a doc on R.Crumb called Crumb. They asked him about his relationship with the Dead since he did some artwork for them. He said he hated their music lol.

If you are into R.Crumb you should look up the movie Crumb on one of the streamers. Its really good, I had no idea he was such an odd duck, along with his family. He had a couple sisters but they declined to be in the doc.

I recognize some of his unique artwork from back in the day, but that's about it.
Oh, and Fritz the Cat. Saw that in a drive-in somewhere in the Kansas City area. Very early Seventies IIRC.

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

sometimes the simplest things can screw ya up...
my crewcab developed a bad lope at idle. running a pro flo 1 (ya, i know, old skool and just old) so started doing everything possible to correct it. bought a new air plenum, didn't do jack...bought a new fuel pump, also didn't do jack, new plugs and wires, still nada.
figured it was a vacumm leak somewhere so started spraying starter fluid all over the throttle body. soon as i hit the base of the throttle body it would smooth out, installed new gaskets, still no change. got a little more precise with the starter fluid, soon as i hit the secondary throttle shaft, it ran good. double and triple checked- ok, must be the throttle shaft.
ordered a reamer kit and re-bushed the shaft, now it should work....nope...
Name: IMG_0126.jpg
Views: 303
Size: 45.3 KB

after letting the truck sit for a month, decided to bite the bullet and order a whole new fuel injection system (major $ north of the border)
well today i went to go over it one last time before dropping a few grand on a new system, pulled the throttle body off and ran my hands all over my vac lines. i had already done this last month with no luck, but just had to double check. sure enough, the map sensor hose was boogered. didn't notice it the first time cause it runs under the intake, and the port is about an 1/8" from the sec. throttle shaft. here's what i found
Name: IMG_0127 (2).jpg

so instead of dropping big dollars on a new fuel injection, it cost me $0.00 cents for a new piece of hose and the crew runs like a charm again.....

took the dawgs out the other nite, had to detour around an accident scene.
here's what happens when ya drive drunk. guy was hammered, took out 3 light poles at high speed wrecking his truck...
notice front wheel is twisted back and the rear axle has broken right off and hit the box...
what's that old saying, god watches over fools and drunks...

Re: Random Photos ‘You took’

Had our willow taken down. It was a constant battle keeping off the roof. Recently a rather large branch came crashing down on the roof. Thankfully no damage. Had the tree guy come out an remove the branch, took him a long time. It was still partially attached to the main part of the tree. After a health inspection we made the call to remove the tree. It was a bummer even though I had a love hate relationship with it haha! Going to have to get back up on the roof and clean it up.

I have that movie on DVD. Robert Crumb was definitely different. The hippies loved him but he was far from being a hippie. His brother was in the documentary. He was a real space cadet.

I have a R.Crumb poster from 1971 in my bathroom. I bought it at Tower Records which is long gone now.

That poster would be perfect in our bathroom , the wifey is sensitive at that end , I call her poopy pants .
But if we ran out of toilet paper that poster may disappear

If I called my wife poopy pants I most likely wouldn't remember much after that.

I never cared for Delorean's. Sure they were quirky. But they were also underpowered. My wife loves them.

John Delorean should have stuck with GTO's.

I wonder how many tow trucks it took to get it from Montana to California?

Holy cow, that's a lot of money.

Don't follow a De Lorean on the road. All the "lines" disappear when it goes by.

That is a lot of money. I still don't care for them.

I like how the one ad says the car has a Porsche 996 shifter. I happen to own a 996 shifter. It's attached to my 996. It came with the car. It's just a shifter. I use it to shift. And my 996 would eat those Delorean's for breakfast and spit them out. They can keep them.

Has a bit more than the shifter it has the whole 996 transaxle hooked up to a 487 hp v6 . That’s one hell of a machine. Bet that car has surprised a few super car owners

But it's like an ugly girl that's a really good cook. Sure she can cook a great meal but at the end of the day she's still ugly.
