Re: Project Vitamin C-10

I have a dilemma. A buddy of mine (board member) wants to sell his 66 GMC burb. I always wanted a burb, but need a truck. I looked the burb over pretty good. It runs and drives. He takes it everywhere. It's unmolested. A little rot in floor. Inner rockers are still there. One cab support rotted. Inner fenders are pretty nice. A few rust spots on roof gutter. Barn doors, just front seats.

My dilemma is I need a truck not a burb, but I don't want to pass this one up.

this is easy. you need a truck AND a burb...

using this method has netted me 2 burbs and 15+ trucks! simple as that!

Alan--that thing looks like it's on the edge of almost being "too rusty" and is beyond "patina".. Is it a V6 still?? Auto or manual?? If you pass on it--ensure it becomes part of the community here!

Well it would make a nice addition to the family. If the price is right jump on it. Getting harder to find by the day. So what's the dilemma?

I need a truck instead. The truck might have to wait.

Although I am not a patina (rust) fan, I would give up my truck for it for sure.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10

If you really can only have one, then get the Burb ,sell the truck and we get another great build thread to read, but that's being selfish. All those that read your last thread would agree it was a great read and an Inspraytion .

Re: Project Vitamin C-10

Well, I sold the burb. It's in Missouri now. Not much truck time this year. I did a couple cruise ins. The house and some side work has kept me stretched thin.

Anybody live in Jacksonville? I'm headed there Monday November 9 for4 days. I'm going to Toyota certification school.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10

The temp gauge hasn't been accurate for awhile. Since the new season is here why not fix it. I found a NOS gauge on eBay.

Glad I made the gauge pods plug and play.

It's up to temp. Let's see how long the gauge last.

Re: Project Vitamin C-10

I attended a show this past weekend. The "Rubber Duck" truck from the movie "Convoy" was there. I was able to park and snap a pic next to it.

Brought home "Best Chevy"

Running out of room
