Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Here's the one I REALLY want. It's my girlfriend's dad's long fleetside C10. It's rusted and busted, but I really want it for a restoration. Either a 250 or 292 straight six, not sure. Granny 4-speed standard. I wanna get rid of the rusted out fleetside and put a stepside on it.
It's not in the best shape, but I want a '64-'66 for a resto project. And he offered to sell it to me when I can afford it, so I figure it's a start. Something I would love to do is put it on a '88-'98 frame, just modify the mounts and all that, and put a TBI or Vortec 350 in it, and maybe rig in an automatic trans, and put some 295/50 tires on it. But that's all in the future. I wanna wait till I get the truck first, ya know?

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Hi All! I see alot of great trucks here and hopefully mine will be as good looking after I throw a bunch of money at it! Right now the total investment is $125.00 so there is a long way to go
This truck sat in a carport neglected for about 8 years before a friend of mine found her. The owner's wife wanted him to have it hauled away for scrap. A C-Note was all it took to get him to part with it 66 C10 LWB 283 (I believe), 3 on the tree. Putting her on the trailer to take home. After putting wheels and tires on I gave her a much needed bath. Driver side view... And the interior Hopefully these show up. It's my first post and first attempt to get a picture to work here. The images may suck a little as I took them on my iphone. |

Re: How about some pics of 60-66 Trucks
Yeah, it has a certain charm all it's own. But I intend to do a flat or satin black on it once i get her road worthy. Right now i know it needs break work all around, piston rings (she runs but smokes like a freight train), and a bed floor. Probably lots more that I haven't discovered yet. Just got the truck last week
