Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
Thanks for the compliments! When driving my truck I feel like I need a pamphlet to hand out, every gas station is a conversation. That's cool though. The truck was originally a long bed and was cut down by the previous owner. The stepside bed I painted to match and used a flat clear coat. I need to lower the front just about 1" and the stance will be just as I envision. The truck rides and drives great, it works real nice as a parts hauler for the shop.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
They're only a 15" wheel, so they certainly would not clear any type of modern large disc brake setup. But if you're just running an old school disc setup (like my ECE front discs) you shouldn't have any issues. The smoothie has significantly more clearance than the stock style early steel wheels.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
Thanks. No drop at all as far as I know suspension is stock. I plan to keep it that way. I was raised with these trucks so I am going with a blend of old and new. mostly old... I am hoping to put a late model engine and tranny at some point. Right now it is 350/350. neither original. It is a factory A/C, power steering and power disc truck. IT will be my daily driver. I may try to post some pics today of the progress.

Making progress. Fire Thorn Red Metallic. I will post more pics when I get it back and start putting the bed floor in and the interior together, the beauty rims and center caps on, etc.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
Just when I was thinking about getting rid of mine to work on my longbed, you guys start this post. Added parts for the front disc brake setup and has been sanded down for the new Satin Black.

Re: pictures of shortbox stepsides
VDOG: Cool '68 GMC. One small step every available day makes the project move.
My '68 C/10 Chevy Stepside was an LA truck. I bought it in Pasadena. It was built at Fremont, and I once saw on the build sheet [before it disintegrated in my hands upon hitting modern atmosphere] that it was sold out of Felix Chevrolet.
