towards the top there is a bracket that screws to the cab, and they slide down over that, and then the 2 screws at the bottom.

This is what jonz is talking about. It's hard to see the bracket in the pic. It is verticle and is held on with 2 rivets. I can get a better pic if you need with sizes so you can fab your own.

Well after a long wait on DHL (somehow they didn't have my address ) I finally recieved them..and must say they are pretty clean except for the mentioned tiny dent on top of one. I will try and lightly pound it out:
- - - - - - - - - - Now Alan...can I get that close up picture ??

Re: Project "Rock-a-Billy".....Saga Continues.....
Here are the pix. I hope it helps. You scored some nice mouldings.
Measured from the bottom of the roof rail at the back of the moulding. This is on the drivers side so you can orient yourself to the pic.

Hey Joe, it is metal. I don't know the exact thickness, but it is thin.

My buddy Rich who works at the Speed Shop hs had many problems with DHL as well...He ordered some parts THREE times due to the fact that they were lost in the mail....Then finally, all three orders showed up at the same time.

Re: Project "Rock-a-Billy".....Saga Continues.....
Well I'm back with some more progress on my truck. Saturday night I couldn't sleep (going thru some insomnia)...so I told Holli, "I'm outta here !!" She was like "Where in the f#ck are you going?" So off I went to my shop. I worked from midnight to sun-up and got a good start.
So the time has come for the 700R4 install. As much as I am going to miss the clutch, I think it's time to lower the RPM's on the highway. What also made up my mind was yesterdays trip to the GoodGuys show in Plesanton...which is about 45 mins away from my home. I drove my '06 F-350 Diesel which has a 5-speed automatic. I was doing like 85 @ about 2,400 RPMS....The C-10 would be screaming at 70 !! I know it wont be as good as the Diesel, but it WILL be an improvement !! First off, some of you have asked me for pictures of the 3-speed Hurst floor shifter and it's positions. So I finally snapped some pics of it before I yanked the tranny. So far I have over 80 pictures so stay tuned !! (I know Joe231 will be excited !!!) Here's some pics of the floor shifter...the massive hole is from the PO attempt at a nice clean cut...which I never got around to repairing. I have shots of different shifter positions....forward swing, neutral, and rear swing....keep in mind the position of this shifter is adjustable via the rods on the tranny. The seat is all the way back into the fuel tank, and I set the rear swing so to not interfere with my daughter car seat, otherwise, it could hug the seat: - - - - - - - - - - -

Last one on the Hurst shifter:
- - - Next I lifted the sucker up and began to drain the gear-oil, and disconnecting and removing the driveline, e-brake, speedo, clutch and shifter linkages: - - - - Stock stuff.... - - - - - Besides my nasty under-side...some of you will remember the use of 1/8 wall 2" tubing for my exhaust system.... - - -

Re: Project "Rock-a-Billy".....Saga Continues.....
Linkage shot:
- - - Rivet removal made easy....cut thru center, then air-chisel them right off...- - - - I'll save these brackets for later fab up of e-brake.... - - -
