It's an 1989 and i am honestly not sure about the combo. From what i have researched i think you are right but i am not mechanic enough yet to know for sure. I am very happy with the bones of the truck but it needs love. I am in the process of fixing 25 years of abuse. Interior is really rough as it was a crew vehicle. Goal is for a clean daily driver with about 2.5" of lift. Just scored some 2004 8 lug takeoffs that i will be putting on it for $100 off of CL. Love CL!!!

I just picked this up to haul horses after the 89 suburban 1500 was going to need transmission work. 454 th400 should handle two horses.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I am new here and I have a 91 crew cab single wheel 1 ton. It is not as nice as some but nicer than others I guess. I am going to buy an 82 crew cab C60 this weekend also. It has a dumpbed on it and I have never seen a crew cab one so I decided I had to have it. Any way looks like I found a great sight here and hope to get to know all you guys.

Welcome! We also have a new "Heavy Haulers" section where I know pictures of your C60 will be most welcome.

I spent about 2 hours looking at the heavy haulers. I will have to post some pics when I get it.

That is a sweet truck!

BTW a gear vendors overdrive is a great upgrade for that thing.

Hey, was just wondering what work you did on the blue crew cab?

The first time I saw it for sale online was a few years ago (same picture as you have) and the owner first lowered the price from about $19K to about 16K and I was just about to drive down to WA state to look at it as I was thinking about buying it, so I contacted him & he said the price was now $45k. WOW? Obviously I did go see it.

Do you know if he ever sold the truck?

Thanks, appreciated. After a few weeks of driving, I like the feel of the firmer suspension more than the 1500 suburban, which kind of wallowed a little.

Re: How about some pics of 73-91 crew cabs

I just want to go on record and say that I dig every truck in this who thread. Crew squares and especially duallies, whether lifted 4x4 or slammed on semis are all as bad as they come!
