LOL. It sounds funny alright but you really CAN do a lot with a comealong and a tree if you don't have a shop and proper tools to work with.

The front of the fender has a recess for the trim.

I have a nice left fender that is from a GMC and is also the same color!! It has the original Bronze paint on it. I can get a pic tomorrow. $60.00 picked up. I don't really want to ship it.

Went and looked at a few trucks. Sorry to say that most had the same damage or worse the the front left fender. My favorite yard scrapped all his trucks when scrap went up. Couldn't even find me any treasures this time.

Here you go. If you pecked on the front bottom you could make a rust hole. Pretty good fender though. I can work with you on the price if you can use it.

I've been told that a 68 Chevy fender will fit any GMC. To confirm that check out an LMC catalog or their website. They are a sponsor of the board. There's a link to them on the home page of this board.

perfect even the right colour too eh?
that grill looks bent but there aren't any creases that I can see on it, if you were good I bet it would straighten out pretty good. Another that works good for getting rid of accident damage was the cement wall at my old High school, I bent my back bumper up and I just repeadily backed into the school till it was straight again

Im gonna keep looking for a fender. I would like to try to find a rust free one or one with a little less rust. I really appreciate you taking the time to take the pics. The only rust in my truck is in the rockers, cab corners and a small area on the front fender and Ive already bought new rockers and cab corners. $40 bux isnt bad but Im gonna pass. Thanks anyways!!

I think Im just gonna keep it! I pretty much know the history of the truck, Im the 3rd owner on it, the gentleman that I bought it from purchased it in 1975 and he had all the receipts for it. Its a nice solid truck ..runs great! .. I can work on it .. and well... its just ME! LOL

I just need the parts to fix it now!
