That pic. took me 4 hours to find, looking at used R.V.s, and the clear one will fit right in to the trucks, I have the red ones in my truck. Found them at my R.V. dealer about three months ago and I didnt know they made clear ones till I was looking on this forum.

if you ordered the ones for the Cheetah, you probably got the wrong ones. we've got a couple Cheetahs in the shop that i didnt know about (something about having a shop big enough to hold 60+ RVs ) the Cheetah lenses will come up slightly short of the opening on a truck, although the mounting holes appear to be the same. they've also got a squared off corner, where ours have a nice curve in the transition from the back of the truck to the side.

my 2 cents
Heya. This is in response to 86 GMG's private message he sent me and to any others it may help. As far as i know (& most of u already know) they do not make the "old skewl" clear tails anymore. I have looked into it alot and found the reason why they stopped production was because they were illegal. Reason is because they don't have a RED reflector in them. Simple as that. I have been lucky enough to find two sets of these about a year or so ago. One set i bought from a member on this site who found them on ebay (i think) brand new! I paid a high price for em, but i didn't care cause i knew they are hard to come by. The other set i found was on ebay aswell. They were used, but in mint condition. i think i paid around 80 - 100 bux Canadian shipped. I agree that they look way better than the new euro tails. Unfortunately the only way to get a set of the old ones now (that i know of) is keep your eyes open for used ones. i usually check ebay every once in awhile, but haven't seen any lately. i believe APC made them originally?, has anyone thought of trying to contact them directly to see if they might have old unsold ones sitting on a shelf somewhere in a factory? just a thought. neway thats about it. Good luck with your hunting, an if i ever find another set(s) i'll be sure to post it. ... oh yeah, as i said they are illegal, but i have been driving around with them for at least a year with no problems what so ever. As long as you have the required red bulbs in them you should be ok. but that also depends on where you live and how much of jerks the cops wanna be. i have red bulbs in one truck, and red LED's in the other. the LED's are much better, but they won't work on the one '87 for sum reason? i'll post some of the best piks i have of em all now (last 2, sadly aren't my trucks) thanks & cheers!
