Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
$800 plus a wheel cylinder and I drove it home. Had the fenders (which had been stored since new in a barn ) in the back. 350/350 with a/c cab. I've driven it pretty much ever since.

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
i payed $650 for mine. it came on a trailer with the spare 700r4 in the bed. i originaly thought i got a deal but with the amount of bondo i'm finding i would have been better off buying the truck in parts. another truck i bought in parts for $500 was the same deal, bondo bucket. at least with the second one i got a 3.73 posi, and i made $1000 profit selling everything i didin't want.
ondrew p.s. thanks guys |

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
Paid $500.00 initially. Had a 400 small block, someone had put together with weather strip aheasive on every gasket in it. (yes, "EVERY" gasket) Had a rod knockin, so I towed it from one side of Houston to the other back to the house, and put a 283 in it and drove it till I wore out the 283. Put a 350 in it until I wore that out. Decided 11 years ago to fix it. Budget, kids, other projects, have put it on hold through the years, but still pluncking away at it. Might get it done before I die?

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
I paid 5500 for mine. It was already restored and I drove it about a year before we put a V8 in it. That was in 2000 and I'm still driving it with the paint I bought it with.

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
I paid $1000 for my truck and it had 72,000 original when I bought it......I put at least another 75,000 on it and the only thing I replaced was tires and one clutch (it was original) in those 75,000......Of course I just finished a complete resto since the PA rust bug took its toll......but I thought that was pretty good for a $1,000 investment.....

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
$5500 + $3000 (eng/trans rebuild) + $500 tires/wheels + $1000 (misc s**t) = $10000 invested.

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
$1700 and probably could have driven it home. However, the 327 that was in it was running bad so my wife's dad and I carried it home on a rollback.

$2700 for mine. The guy worked me over since he knew how bad I wanted my grandfather's truck. Here's what it looked like when I first bought it.

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
$1900 for the GMC about a year ago. 100% rust free as it was a furniture delivery truck in Fallon (about 60 miles east of Reno) the first 20 years of its' life. 95k original miles, never been hit or repaired, stored inside the warehouse at night and when not in use. All AC components are attached except for fanbelt. Originally olive green. Came from factory with bucket seats but has a bench now. 396 runs well but a pushrod sticks if revved over 4k rpm. TH400 was rebuilt last spring. Brake master and wheel cyls, and shoes were replaced last spring, needs a rear drum. I'm looking locally for an era 396 block to build. Try to get around to weather stripping and window felts this winter. Oh yea, need to do something about the obnoxous 70's indoor/outdoor carpeting too.

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
1,300 bucks back in '96, but it was a straight, fairly rust free SC turnkey truck. Drove it spring/summers/fall for 4 years straight. Only problem she gave me was a leaky heater core. Got about 3200 (including purchase price) into the "fix er up a bit" job I started about 2 years ago.

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
paid 1500 for my 69 gmc, bought it from the original owner. no engine no tranny. then a free parts truck, had to trash the parts truck cab. then $250 for a long horn bed. Oh my truck was a california truck as well I had to replace both rockers inner and outer, both floor pans, kick panel's and cab supports, and lower a pillars. The PO never rolled the windows up for the
20 years it sat. On the bright side my welding is getting better

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
$2,800 for mine, but it was almost exactly what I wanted, a decent project (needs cab corners)....but for a 3/4t 4x4 I was happy, I figured its about the same as the down payment on a lease for a new 3/4t 4x4!
oh yeah, drove it 220 miles home the day I bought it....all highway....made just over 14mpg @ 65mph with 4.56's ! with the price of the engine I bought, the exhaust I will be installing, and the transmission upgrade in the near future....I don't want to know....ignorance is bliss!

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
I paid $1000 for my 67 which has the normal rust, but I did drive it home and I paid $150 for my 69 which was just sitting in pieces at my farm, and now currently going back together.

Re: POLL... what did you pay for your truck?
Found mine on Ebay and won it for $1691.00. Turns out the PO was a member here. I added fog lights, rally's, and had the seat re-done. Still needs cab corners, rocker work, and paint.
