These parts are sweet

I don't think their was any $ spaired on this set up. He wanted beef and he has plenty of beef now! Large bearing, large tube 9", currie hardened axels, CPP tubular trailing arms, Cpp beefed trailing arm cross member, lowered coils front and rear and drop spindles up front as well as all new suspention and steering up front. Should be back rolling by end of the weekend. Just need to clean and paint he front disks and install them as well as the steering joints. The close ratio PS steering box should be here Monday or so. Here are a few more pics!

All finished and ready for drop off! I wonder if he would notice if I swapped for "Project Illusion's" chassie? Now time to get back on the 68crew cab project as well as the blazer "Tip & Flip" dolly. I should have the dolly built next week but it will be about a month before plans are ready to ship out.

I stoped by tonight and got some pics of the next LFD project vehical. I did this chassie last year and now it is time for the next step. We will start it in a few weeks (once Lemon Drop is done) and will be shaving the firewall, replacing rockers, kicks, small floor areas and tthen tackel the quarter panels. The pic does not show it real well but the passenger side will most likely get replaced and the drivers lowers replaced. Once that work is done I will move on to grafting on the truck roof and full doors. I know putting full doors on a blazer is a major project so I will add tons of pics showing how it is done

Once the top is done and the body is rust free it will get epoxy primmed and the owner will look it over and see if he wants to do a small chop or other mods.

I also included a few pics of his motor. He ended up going with a 350 and a 700R4.

Your going to cut it at the pillars and just graft a pickup top on and connect it to the quarters with a bulk head, right?

If that's the game plan, installing full doors will be a simple bolt on.

Guess the chop option could change that though.

couple of things....Where did you get the rear-end? Did you order it? Or did you pull it off something? Sorry if that is a dumb question, but, I dont know much about rear-ends...other than the Dana 44 I had on my jeep at one time.

You think I could get a complete list of goods you used...along with where you got them?

I mean, I see that you used CPP for most of the stuff...anthing else you use, that you didnt list? Its coming along great, and keep the pics coming...People like me, and have a basic knowledge, but not enough hand's on, really enjoy the progress stuff...helps me to understand more!

Soooo...long story, in a few words!!!!

The rear end is a Ford 9" built by currie ent. As far as the rest of the parts I did not buy or pick out any of them, my customer did all that. And a great job of it as well. I don't know if he gets on here very much but if he does maybe he can list things off.

The only issues with them is their are mounted on the wrong frame!

Yes I like the look of rebuilt susp as well and this is why I changed color on some of the parts so you could not mistake my rebuild for a spray bomb rebuild

:LOL: that is about it. If you got to Kevin's low buck build thread. That is exactly what he did except a long bed box onto a short frame that I think he cut down from long to short also.

do you see any problems with the track bar having such an angle?
Always read that it needs to be as parallel with the axle as possible at ride height. Your work is impressive.......your work ethic is more impressive.

Is that the ECE lowered track bar kit? I have it, and the Shock kit also, but
in your pic's it looks as if the shock kit is not needed? Or am I missing it?

I saw one a couple a years ago. It had the truck cab but he cut the blazer bedsides down and installed front bed panel. When I first saw it I thought it was a short bed truck. But I could tell the wheel base looked too short. When I made a closer inspection of it I could tell if was a Blazer. I liked it. If I had a blazer and the tub was to far gone to be saved I would go that route. I wish I would of had my camera.
