Re: Updated pics of my Blazer
I just got done putting the trim on this side a little while ago. I just need to get the bumpers back on and do something with the steering shaft, it seems to bind now that I have a body lift on it. I'll probabally try a u-joint in place of the rag joint at the steering box to see if that helps, has any done this and did it help?
And for whoever asked about clearing my garage door it clears my 8 foot door by 14 inches.

Awesome rig! Some pictures of the seats, please??? Don't worry, I won't look at the carpet. My carpet looks like a toasty lawn.

Re: Updated pics of my Blazer
It wasn’t long after I put the 3in body lift and six suspension on mine that I started having steering joint trouble so I bought 2 flaming river joints from summit racing and a 1 ½ foot piece of double d steering rod. I think on the steering column side it was a ¾ by 32 spline with a double d on one side and on the box side it was 1in by 36 spline and a 1in round side. You can try to use the original double d shaft but if it comes out like mine did you will only have 1 to 2 in of over lap holing the shaft together. I wanted it around 4in. I don’t know how much it is suppose to collapse so you may want to measure it before you take it apart and see how much it moved in stock form. When it was done I never had any more trouble

Re: Updated pics of my Blazer
I want one that color...
What's left to do before you can go enjoy it? Any drive train mods other than the lift? |

Re: Updated pics of my Blazer
vtblazer- I've been driving it all summer, actually the last 4 summers. I work on it in the fall, winter, spring and try to drive it as much as possible in the summer. The drivetrain is stock for now.
MNorby-I used some of the factory holes & drilled new holes for the ones that didn't line up. I had to use a spacer on one hole but other than that it fit perfect.
