Re: speaker/subwoofer options

Well i might be an idiot but i got a set of satalite speakers for a surround sound system sittin in the garage...after some measuring they seem to fit if i drill into the rear a/c. I'm thinking about mounting them there, because the 6x9's in the rear wall just dont seem to be loud enough for my likings. I'll run a 100watt amp to the rear 4 speakers which i have ran wires and mounted under the seat, just have yet to hook it up.

I'll let you know how this satalite speaker thing works out..i'm still measuring.

Re: speaker/subwoofer options

Everything from Crutchfields, boxes also. (Alpine receiver, Polk 6x9, California 200 watt amp).

I believe that the rear speakers would fit in the side walls. I may try later. I installed everything and by the time I got to the rear speakers I was wore out. 3 days in June outside Alabama was hot. Just slapped them in the boxes and mounted to the wheel well.

I did not picture the amp under the second seat, but it fits nicely.

OH! Looking at my pictures I remember that the front speakers have to go in that position/that part of the door. The part with the vent (the front part of the kick panel) has some of the window/door lock machinery and can't fit speakers.

Good luck.

Re: speaker/subwoofer options

ah, the rear are 6x9?? so no sub??

let me know if you ever install 6x9's in the side!!

so you don't have any in the dash, right?? how are your highs w/ the tweeters down low?? seems like some component speakers in the doors with the tweeter under the dash might work...

Re: speaker/subwoofer options

The door looks nice, i might have to check mine to see how hard that would be to install.

The rears will fit in the wall, just measure it out and cut it down some, i bent the metal down inside incase i ever want to go back to the old ones.
