Re: $500 bucket
Layinrocker65,
What do you suggest doing for a rear setup? I wanted to do an 11" Kpcomponents c-notch to clear 22's. I have a 12 bolt posi from an 87 burban that I could get a flip kit for and use some 2x3 1/4 box tubing for the link bars mounted on the outside of the frame. I wanted to mount the bags on the bars for lift and buy a Totally Pollished brand watts link setup. Thats at least $700 to $1000 bucks right there. What setup are you running and what size wheel are you on? And are you Layin Rocker? Thanks for the help! Tony from Norcal |

Re: $500 bucket
Tony-
KP is almost production ready on their new kit for the rear of these trucks. I would highly recommend checking into it. We will be working together on a complete kit for these trucks... Dropmember up front and KP out back.

Re: $500 bucket
Nathan,
Where would I go to check out some pics of the rear setup? Is it on Kp's web site? Tony from Norcal |

Re: $500 bucket
Pics aren't public yet. It should be REALLY soon. I will be getting a couple kits when they are ready. It will be similar to the one they sell for the 73-87 trucks... obviously with different mounting brackets.

Re: $500 bucket
Nathan,
Are you refering to Kp's 6 link setup? With th bags mounted to the back link bars? That would be sweet! Doesn't that setup get like 10-12" of lift? Tony from Norcal |

Re: $500 bucket
Thanks Likaroc13! Good luck on the Burban build. No matter what it cost I think you should build it! I wish I haddn't been so dumb and ruined my 65 burban! Do you have pics of your burban?

Re: $500 bucket
Hi everyone,
Its been awhile so I wanted to post some progress pics! Just alittle breakdown of what i've done. I tore out the rotted wood in my bed, removed the stock rear coils, panhard bar, and shocks. I ordered new body and radiator bushings from Early Classic Enter. I mounted my reproduction radiator support to a used 66 header panel, and got one repro fender mounted. Once I sell my 17's I will get 5 lug axles for the 12 bolt that came with my 64. I sold my other 12 bolt with 373 posi to my brother in law for his 82 chev. What rear end gears should I be running with the tpi/4l60e and a 29in. rear tire? let me now what you guys think! Tony from Norcal |

Re: $500 bucket
Looks good. Are you going to use those manifolds on the motor in the pic?

Re: $500 bucket
Hi there from Marysville/Yuba City area...
The last photo shows what looks like an auxillary fuel door on the bedside. Does it have them on both and more importantly does this truck have the fuel tank valve to swith over from one tank to another that you may possibly not be using any longer????? Hmmm????? |

Re: $500 bucket
Poorboy,
I dont think i'm using the manifolds, i'll probably use a shorty header. Blackedoutharley, The truck does have the doors on both sides which sucks for me cause I dont plan on using side tanks. But both the tanks were gone when I bought the truck. You live near Yuba city? I go grocery shopping there. Thanks guys for the compliments! Later. Tony from Norcal |
