Re: anyone else have a 60-66 4x4???
I have a 61 apache that was 2wd and restored pretty good by me{my first resto atempt]about 22 years ago. About 15 years ago I swapped the body onto a 62 gmc K20 frame with a big v6. I never got it all back together and its gotten pretty rusty since then. I still hope to fix it someday, after all you never forget your first girl! Also I have a 61 gmc carryall [burban] sitting on about a 76 4x4 K 20 chassis, its wicked incomplete and done by someone else who really didnt have a clue so it would pretty much need to start from scratch. To bad because the body is pretty decent to start with lots of dents not to much rust. Oh and its a window van and some idiot took all the sliding windows out and threw them away!

Re: anyone else have a 60-66 4x4???
its not that hard to do. it take some paitentce and old parts but can be do in a weekend.
i reused the frame mounts on the newer frame and youll need to ad some spacers. a better/easier choie would be to use a 67-72 since the frames much more similar to the 65-66 frame shape and heighths. |
