Re: where was your truck originally sold?
all my trucks were built at the same plant in califronia. Don't know where any of them were sold at though. How do you find out? Hey Fatback, there isn't a dealership in Moorpark anymore, but I'm pretty sure your truck was sold from William Morris Chevrolet. They are located in simi valley now.

The first part of the dealers name that I couldn't make out does start with a "W".....if its William, it would have been abbreviated. I hope you are right! It's nice to learn a little more history.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
My truck was originally sold at Burt Chevrolet in Denver. It still has the old faded dealer sticker on the tailgate.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
PA Dealership Info:
I remember Colony Chevrolet but they must be closed now because I can't find anything on them anywhere. The only listing I found was for Colony Motor Cars in Lancaster but I doubt they're the same. Weed is still open. http://weedchevy.com/ My truck was built in St. Louis and has a dealership bumper on it from Smith Bros. Chevrolet from some town west of Dallas, Texas. I can't think of the name at the moment. |

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
They've been around for a long time which is something to say these days 'cause there's less and less of the old school dealerships out there.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Don't know the name of the place, but mine was purchased in Elk City, Oklahoma on Oct. 29, 1969. Sticker on original driver's side door has a build date of 10-69, and the truck was built in the janesville, Wisc. plant.

That is interesting to hear of another. Is there any way you can get a pic of yours? I'll grab one of mine this week.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
Hard to read in the small pic, but mine was sold at Littrell Chevy in Athens, Alabama. I'm pretty sure it no longer exists.
Was sold in August, 1971 and the guy traded in a 1966 Ranchero for it. http://www.efi-street.com/IMAGES/72C...es/image4.html

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
My 72 was sold Mar.26 / 72 from Hall Chevrolet in Prosser , Wa . Another member from that area tells me the're still going strong . The paperwork shows the truck was sold to Benton City Mint Farms , apparently there long gone . Should have been car dealers instead of farmers , lol , jk.

Re: where was your truck originally sold?
My '69 C-10 was made in NY and sold at Don Steves Chevrolet in La Habra California. I have all the paperwork form the sale. The radio ads say that Don Steves Chevrolet is "the biggest Chevy dealer in La Habra", in reality he's the only Chevy dealer in La Habra.
My '70 was built in Fremont California, do not know where it was sold. Dano
