Re: *#&! Shop broken into, 65 GMC Stolen!!!!!1
I doubt an older truck will get parted. They`ll prolly just try to put another VIN-plate on from another truck. It`ll either leave the area or emerge changed enough to look different.Also.it`s swap-meet season.I`ll check Carlisle and Charlotte.Everyone do the same. It`s probably stuck indoors and won`t come out until it looks different.
Sorry about this. All I feel is anger.I`ve been there myself in`92.I still wanna kill somebody when I think about it.

Re: *#&! Shop broken into, 65 GMC Stolen!!!!!1
You folks could very well be right about them altering the looks just enough to get by, like the one hewlett saw could of been it with another color of primer sprayed on it. If there is any small thing that makes it 100% identifiable, you know small dent somewhere, a bracket left welded in place not being used, it would be a positive way to confirm it's yours. Good luck man.

Good news, Police called earlier. Said they may have found almost all of the parts that were stolen. Most of them still new in the boxes.

Re: *#&! Shop broken into, 65 GMC Stolen!!!!!1
As much as I hate to admit it, I still get that horrible sick feeling in my gut when I here this kind of story. Since I was eight years old I've had my own business and have never had a dime from nobody since I was 14. I was raised by people who taught me if you can't pay for you don't need it and if it belongs to somebody else FOR THE FEAR OF GOD DON'T TOUCH IT. I began collecting cars and motors over twenty years ago and even hid them 1/2 mile off the main road the thieves still found them. I was bent out of shape for many years and after becoming a Devout Christian God cleansed my soul of one dark blot; but I still know the pain and even understand the more why "Thou shalt not steal" is such an important commandment and should be an important LAW*.
I will pray you get your property back and that you get your peace back also! |

Got 95% of my parts back today, after spending 3 hours identifying every single thing that was mine.

Re: *#&! Shop broken into, 65 GMC Stolen!!!!!1
I park my junker truck in front of my 68 stepside so you cant get it out what was the plate number I'm in Wa. state also on another site over here all chevy trucks let me know the plate number my mother in law is the head of the lis dept over here I would call the lis dept and see if any one tryied to change the plates or reg. its worth a shot or if they tried to do a title change it sounds dumb but if they sold it and the person who bought it didnt no it was hot they might change titles not knowing it was stolen. good luck post the lis and I'll ask the lis dept over here !

Re: *#&! Shop broken into, 65 GMC Stolen!!!!!1
In many states, illegals are over a third of the prison population, and concidering how hard it is to find people with fake names and no public records, they are responsible for a lot more crime than is publicly stated. As far as the legal system, too many places are not serious about cracking down on first time offenders, second time offenders.... The number of vehicles taken by bored kids to thrash and dump is pretty high.

Re: *#&! Shop broken into, 65 GMC Stolen!!!!!1
I hope you find your truck, my shop got broke into a few years ago, I was insured as well, but I'm still trying to find the special tool I knew I had when I'm working and then remember that it was stolen.. I still get mad thinking of how they trashed the place! I'm near KC, so will keep a lookout as well

I hope they find your truck. My trucks been in my family since the late 70's. I couldn't imagine that one getting stolen. I had a 93 stolen about 7-8 years ago...I got it back stripped. I was happy to get it back, but I felt so dam violated. I hope they catch those bastages that took your truck...Find the highest tree...

BASTARDS !!!
Hey bro, next time if you got the funds put a gps on your prize rides. Also if you have any pics or just put the make and color on some stop lights around 5 mile area ( especially at gas stations ) they'll need gas with these guzzlers. Being this trucks aren't everywhere they stand out and more people notice them more than you think. Ask some gas clerks while your there. Ya never know till you ask. |

Re: *#&! Shop broken into, 65 GMC Stolen!!!!!1
It isn't just old trucks being stolen. We got back from Kool April Nites a couple weeks ago and got a call that our six month old one ton diesel flatbed was stolen out of our recycling yard. If anyone sees a brand new white Ford f-350 flatbed , please call the cops. Hope you get your truck back 1BadSS. I'll keep my eyes peeled out here in Cali.
