Born in Northern Maine, grew up in the Portland Maine area and then moved to Fargo and then Bismarck ND 20 years ago as a young lad out of Tech School.
I wish there was a way to search the new board by the member's location field. I used to like to check for new members from my area once and a while.

Raised up in Brighton Plantation Maine, population 58.
Living now in big time Cornville Maine, population 600 or so, too many to count 'em all. This city life is just not for me. Incidentally, "Plantation" is a semi organized form of government, not unorganized territory, but not enough people or interest to incorporate as a town. Most people think of the south when they hear "plantation", but up in Maine, instead of cotton, the plantations are pine tree plantations, 85% of the "town" is paper company land, and all forest. The remaining 15% is privately owned forest. Cornville is dairy farms, with a few odd slickers "getting away from it all".
