As Stevedee says check the manifold. I swapped a stock manifold on to my Burban last year and the area around the bolt holes (circled in blue) had deformed over the years and was .010 to .014 higher than the rest of the gasket area. I ended up bolting the intake down on a mill and recutting it to make the surface flat again.
