Re: Pickup or el camino?
What an awful choice to have to make!
If I had to make the choice, I would choose the El Camino to keep. In Michigan it is classified as a truck. Here is my 69 El Camino. Jim

Re: Pickup or el camino?
I had a '71 elky and would love to have it back...but then I would love to have my '69 396 Camaro back too...and a few old girlfriends in original condition!!!! Keep the elky...just too nice. When you can afford another truck go for it. You can get a running truck for under $500...they are still pretty much "disposable" toys.

Re: Pickup or el camino?
Was lucky enough to have 64, 69,70,72 and 80 el Caminos (bought the 80 new) they are great little toys but they are NOT trucks, and obviously, trucks are not El Caminos. All were stick shifts except the 70 which was a 307 powerglide. Favorite was my 69 4 speed 350. Great little toys!
