It consists of a larger carrier bearing that sits on the bottom of the crossmember instaed of hanging from the top, and larger tube driveshafts. I'm not sure if the u-joints are different or not. I've not had any problems with the heavier driveline setup.....and I've beat on them hard too.

I don't have a pic but I could get one for you if you like.

Re: wbr 66

Is the driveshaft just from like a 71-87 truck? I'm thinking I'll be changing things too. I want to do burn outs. Without the breaking part.

These drivelines came in the C10's and the C20's. When in the C10's that may have been the standard driveline with the V8......not positive though. Most of these trucks that I've owned have had the heavier driveline. In fact I didn't know they came with the whimpy driveline until maybe 15 years ago. Most of the whimpy ones I see like that around here are in the '67-'72's. Anyway here are a couple of pics of what I'm talking about.

Re: wbr 66

If you lower your truck do you use a one piece driveline? Don't they mod the top of that member?

dang man...that's a huge bummer, you need help? it's kind of a big thing...i have no tricks to it, but i can tell you one thing is that typically there's other issues when you blow a head gasket... oh...and there's a certain way you'll want to do it...you're torque sequence on a 283 is
you kind of work in a circle from the center and torque to 65lb.
