That would mean a negative offset of 45 millimeters. 0 offset would mean the wheel mounting surface is halfway between the rim hoops, or 5 inch backspace on a 10 inch wheel. 45 millimeters is about 1 7/8 inches. If I'm figuring correctly, the backspacing is 3 1/8. That seems like it would push out of the fenders, though. I could be wrong.

The backspacing of the wheels is right with what lillthewabbit says!

I'm a little late to the party but here goes. 15x8 with 3.75 backspace up front with 275/60/15 tires and 15x10 with 3.75 backspace in the rear with 325/50/15 drag radials.

nice truck pyrotechnic! I'm thinkin you should lower the front 3 more inches and the rear about 2 tho lol.

Too bad BFG doesn't make a larger tire than the 295 in the radial T/A. I have been keepin my eyes open for the pirelli 345/45/15 tires normally used on Lambouginis. My buddy who owns one told me they are really hard to come by, and sadly very exspensive when you can find them.

Is this dropped just in the front and a stock rear? If so, how much is the drop?and what did you use?

Wow I really like this look and it's what I'm going for once my project gets to tires and suspension.

Is this truck stock 2wd hieght.. cause I think that looks awsome.. I would have thought those 50s would have thought the gap would have appeared greater. By any chance do you have more shots of the truck when it was with these tires?

Thank you.

That pic was before I dropped the rear, the front just has 1 coil cut, the rear now has 4 leaves removed and the rest were reworked, I'm left with 2 leaves and the helper. I'll find a pic and post it.

Really like that front only drop look.

sorry about the 20 questions.

So you only cut one full coil? That's cutting a perfect ring right? .. nothing else? Did you notice any adverse effect in the ride like stiffness, stearing, handling or anything else? Did you have to get it aligned afterwards? when you cut the coil how much did it drop?

I wonder why we don't hear about more people cutting coils instead of buying kits?

How tough of a job was it to do that ? Any special tools needed?

I just read that for every 1/4 coil you cut expect a full inch drop.. wow. Are you guys cutting coils while they are still in place? Any good DIY writeups for cutting coils on the C10? What are people using to cut?

Thanks!

to cut the coils you'll first need to remove them from truck, 1 coil will bring you down 2" inches, to cut you'll will need use some thing like saw saw, cut off wheel or something similar, but not a torch it make the entire coil week, the rides not to bad if you coil are good to start with
my truck with one cut coil in front and stock in the back

SWEET! Thank you! I'm going to do the exact same thing. If anybody knows of a write up with step by steps and pics, please send it to me.

BTW, do you think 295/50/15s on the stock 15x8 Rallys would fit in the front with no problems, even at full lock and sharp turns up ramps?

295/50 will work with the rallies and there might slight rubbing on the truck not for sure but with 275/60 you won't have any problems

Is that based on a 2 inch drop in the front and if there is a rub where will it be? Someone implied I could probably hammer the problem away. Also wonder in that slight rub is aggevated with swaying.

One issue with 275/60/15 is that I think it's a taller tire than 295/50/15.. Really wanting 295 in the back and 295/60/15 is a rare and expensive tire.

I'm okay with some rubbing on the inside if I can cut and hammer it away.

Anybody know what I can expect to pay for a decent 2 inch drop coils? Recommended 2" drop Spring Coils? Ground Force any good?

Thanks.

cyberpine - my truck with the 15x10s was sitting at stock 2wd height. I did have more pitures of it, but I cant seem to find any right now. If I come across any, I'll let you know or post them here.

a 275/60/15 is almost 2" taller than 295/50 but a 235/60/15 is just a tad shorter than 295/50, I think you be fine, there's a guy on hear with 305/35/26 and he said he had very little rubbing, ground force is a good brand and summit racing sells them really cheap

I'm only concerned with the front rear is going to stay stock and I was planning to add 1.5 " spacer anyways for an even wider look back there.

305/35/26 is 34.4 x 12.. wow. In the front? with a drop and no cutting ?.. that doesn't sound right. Do you have the link to his pics?

Appreciate the info.. Thank you!

Re: Guys with 15x10 Wheels - Inside Please

I am trying to locate 10" x 15 rally wheels. I know the originals were 8" but I want to retain the factory look with factory beauty rings and center caps with a wider wheel.

Open for ideas

Sorry, my mistake, I should have mentioned 4x4. Needing 6 holes. Thanks big10 and Tony, I will check both places.
